Parent Teacher Interview Night and Picture Retakes

Good scary afternoon,

I hope all of our Thunderbird Families are safe this evening trick or treating.

Next Thursday, starting at 3:40, we have our Parent Teacher Interviews happening until 8:30 pm. (Thursday, November 8th)

Information and sign up options were sent home last week and interviews were planned out this past Monday.  Slips with your child’s time for the interview will be sent home next week, if not before. If you need to request an interview, please contact your child’s teacher to do so as soon as possible as times are filling up.

Also, picture retakes will take place this Friday afternoon for all those who may have missed round 1.

Take care and have a safe Halloween.

Can you believe that we are now into November this week?!?!

Wow, time flies when you are having fun. 🙂

We are the last school in the board to receive the cross and it will end with the mass at the church on Friday.

Thanks so much for all you do to support our students here at St. Daniel.

We have raised funds through our Big Box; for charity; and for our Nutrition for Learning this year so far and your support is kind, generous and appreciated.

God Bless.

Important New Information for Families

Good morning,

It is with sadness that I am sharing this news via a Newswire, but it is not possible to contact families individually and the news is spreading quickly as our Director announced this today in a system email.

I have been asked to become the Principal at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School. I have been a teacher there and a Vice-Principal there, so it is a bit like going home for me. It will be quite the change, and not one I applied for or was expecting.

My last day here is November 16th and the new Principal (yet to be named) will be starting here November 19th.

I will share with you, as soon as we know, who the new Principal is.  I know you will welcome them like you welcomed me. I will certainly be sharing with this new Principal how awesome our parent community is.

I will for sure hold this community, the students and their families, in my heart as I feel truly blessed to have served as the Principal here at St. Daniel.

God Bless and thank you.

Lorrie Temple

October Reminders: Important Information

Good afternoon Thunderbird Families,

This Friday is a PD Day, there is NO Extended Day this Friday allowing for all of the Early Year’s Staff to meet for Professional Development. Please pass the message along.

Popcorn is on sale again this Wednesday for $1. All proceeds to support learning resources for our school. Sales were off the charts last week. Thank you for your tremendous support.

Please encourage your son/daughter to bring a refillable water bottle to school and to boomerang their lunch- which means bring home any garbage or wrappers.  We are an eco-school and we are looking to earn another gold certification. Thanks for your support of this initiative. Go Green!

Next Wednesday is Halloween. Please see attached letter for information on costumes and ideas for celebrating in class that does NOT include treats/snacks due to allergies. halloween 2018
