Good evening,

We continue to have issues on the bus.  The bus is an extension of the classroom and students need to follow the expectations on the bus for hands off behaviour, respect for classmates, bus patrollers, and the driver.  Students are to be kind, use appropriate language, sit quietly and get home safely.

I have shared this information with each division in a meeting with all students. I also shared it individually with each busload of students and I have made consistent announcements about the expectations for behaviour on the bus.  Many students are following the expectations, but many are not.

Please review the links below for the expectations for the bus as a parent and as a student. Each of you, parents and students, have responsibilities for bus behaviour. This information is taken directly from the Student Transportation Department.

Please remember that riding a bus is a privilege, not a right. This privilege can be removed if students are being unsafe; hurting others and being consistently disrespectful.

Here are the links: Responsibilities of Parents  and   Responsibilities of Students.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
