Earth Week Celebrations…start tomorrow…please read!

Hey Thunderbirds!

During Earth Week at St. Daniel, students are raising awareness about the waste we produce and about the world water crisis.  Thank you to all of you who have already donated money to our We Walk for Water campaign. Remember to bring in your Loonies or Toonies this week starting tomorrow. In our classrooms, we will be learning about this issue in our world  and we will be walking to raise awareness on Friday.

We are also running a Zero Waste Challenge. Instead of a garbage can, each classroom has ONE ziploc baggie to put in all of their waste for the whole week! Help us out by sending in Litterless Lunches. Your child will receive an Earth Angel ticket if they produce zero waste for their lunch.

The Green Team is also starting our “Ban the Bottle” campaign to help with the plastic pollution in our world. Keep your disposable plastic bottles at home and send in a reusuable bottle instead. We will survey our school and see how we did.

Remember, Walk to School Day is  Wednesday!

Good luck Thunderbirds. Together we can be Earth Angels caring for our earth and the people who live in it!

Go Green Tbirds!!!
