Dear Thunderbird Families:
It is our goal to continue to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe learning environment in which our students build persistence, resilience and learn to work to the best of their ability in mutual respect and trust. As a community, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of the whole child – intellectually, spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally. We are committed to helping all students develop skills, knowledge, attitudes and values that reflect our Catholic virtues, strive for academic excellence in all areas of the curriculum and to become self-disciplined, life-long learners. Community and relationships are integral parts at the Thunderbird Nest. We want to maintain and enhance support programs and partnerships between home, St. Daniel School, St. Anthony Daniel Parish, and the greater community.
As the complexities of the school year unfold, specifically those that surround the uncertainties related to COIVD-19, we are reminded to continue to look to our faith for strength, be kind to each other, care for the gift of creation and never stop doing the amazing things that make a difference in the world. Although things have been proving to look a little different, we eagerly look forward to a great year in the Thunderbird Nest.
Each year brings positive change. This includes new additions to the Thunderbird Nest. We are delighted to welcome in Kindergarten, Mrs. Kroisenbrunner; in Grade 3/4, Miss. Leusink, in Grade 6/7, Mrs. Herzog, our ESL teacher Mrs. Soulard, in Special Education covering Mrs. Lehan’s maternity leave, Mrs. Smukavich, and Mr. Chamberlain in the Educational Assistant role. Welcome to the Thunderbird Nest!
It remains an honor and privilege for us to serve as your administration team. Together, we know that we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children, as we are Gathered to Become!
